Code of Ethics
What is Code of Ethics?
A code of ethics is a document that outlines the moral principles and values that guide the behaviour and decision-making of individuals within an organisation. It establishes expectations for integrity, fairness, transparency, and accountability in professional conduct. Unlike a code of conduct, which focuses on specific rules and behaviours, a code of ethics addresses broader principles that inform judgement in ambiguous situations. HR is typically responsible for developing, communicating, and enforcing the code of ethics, and for providing channels through which employees can report ethical concerns.
