Utilization Analysis
What is Utilization Analysis?
Utilization analysis, also called workforce utilization review, is a method of examining the demographic makeup of an organisation’s workforce and comparing it to the relevant available labour pool. The goal is to determine whether protected groups, such as women and ethnic minorities, are employed at rates consistent with their availability in the external workforce.
Why Utilization Analysis Matters
This analysis is a key component of affirmative action planning and equal employment opportunity compliance. When underutilization is identified, organisations are expected to set placement goals and take proactive steps to address disparities in hiring, promotion, and retention practices.
