What is TIN Number?

A Taxpayer Identification Number, or TIN, is a unique numeric identifier assigned by a government tax authority to individuals, businesses, and other entities for the purpose of tracking tax obligations and filings. In the United States, common types of TINs include Social Security Numbers (SSNs), Employer Identification Numbers (EINs), and Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs).
