Resignation
What is Resignation?
Resignation is the voluntary act of an employee formally ending their employment with an organisation. Employees are typically required to provide written notice in accordance with their employment contract or applicable legislation. The notice period allows the employer to plan for the transition, begin recruitment for a replacement, and arrange knowledge transfer. HR responsibilities during the resignation process include conducting exit interviews, processing final pay and benefits, recovering company property, and updating employment records. Understanding resignation patterns and reasons helps organisations identify and address retention issues.
