Domestic HRM
What is Domestic HRM?
Domestic HRM is the management of human resources within a single country’s borders, dealing with one set of national labour laws, cultural norms, and employment practices. It covers the core HR functions of recruitment, selection, training, compensation, performance management, and employee relations within a single legal and cultural framework. Domestic HRM is distinguished from international HRM by its comparatively simpler regulatory environment and the absence of challenges such as expatriate management, cross-cultural adaptation, and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
