Broker
What is Broker?
An insurance broker is an independent professional who represents the interests of the buyer rather than the insurance company when arranging coverage. In employee benefits, brokers help employers evaluate their workforce needs, compare plans from multiple carriers, negotiate rates, and manage ongoing plan administration. Unlike agents who represent insurers, brokers have a fiduciary duty to act in the best interest of their client. They provide advisory services on benefits strategy, compliance, cost containment, and employee communication.
