Balanced Scorecard

What is Balanced Scorecard?

The balanced scorecard is a strategic management framework that measures organisational performance across four perspectives: financial, customer, internal processes, and learning and growth. Developed by Robert Kaplan and David Norton, it enables organisations to translate strategy into measurable objectives and track progress beyond purely financial metrics. In HR, the balanced scorecard is used to align people strategy with business goals, setting KPIs for areas such as employee engagement, training effectiveness, retention rates, and workforce productivity alongside traditional financial targets.
